[Editor’s Note: This week, the TalkShoes staff is out of the office to enjoy the last little bit of summer. We’ll return on Monday August 31st, but in the meantime, we’ll be running a few of our favorites from the past few months. We brought this one back from the archives to get us ready for the looming colder weather, and because, let’s face it, it’s hilarious!]

Pity the half-frozen actress with something to promote in February. Celebrities of every ilk seem to suffer from a shared delusion during winter; that’s the only way to explain the excess of short skirts, bare legs, and six-inch designer pumps during a blizzard. Or maybe the extreme societal pressure we place on celebrities to look beautiful and idyllic in less than idyllic conditions is to blame. Or maybe it’s the excess of early designer freebies from everyone’s spring collections. In any case, celebs, you have our sympathy. (Sort of.)

Below, we added even more brands to this ever-expanding list!]

Over the weekend, I got together with family and friends to celebrate my birthday, and one of my friends told me that she wanted to treat herself to a new pair of shoes; her budget was about $300. She needed some brand recommendations, commenting that she currently “couldn’t afford a pair of Louboutins or Jimmy Choos.” I quickly rattled off names like Tory Burch, Rebecca Minkoff, Kate Spade and Michael Kors; these designers all make enormously stylish shoes, even if they’re not in the very top tier of luxury brands.

Below, I made a list of 20 contemporary brands that won’t break that break the bank while still looking more expensive than they are. These shoe are on trend, all for less than $500. If you’re looking for some fresh spring updates at a fair price, you’ve come to the right place.

2015 has been an oddly consistent year for celeb shoe selections. Single-soled offerings from Louboutin, Sophia Webster and Stuart Weitzman have proved to be particularly enticing to celebs year-round, while your more traditional summer styles like wedges and espadrilles received precious little love this year, leaving the humble Birkenstock to fulfill the celebrity’s ongoing need for casual, comfortable footwear for the third consecutive summer.

Emmy Rossum recently walked the event carpet at CBS’ 2015 Summer TCA Party in a metallic gold pair of Aquazzura Linda Sandals paired with a white, ruffled Alessandra Rich dress with gilded trim from her Fall 2015 collection. You can currently find Emmy’s exact sandals for $675 at Net-A-Porter.

In close-up, these look a tad too big for Emmy, but going a half size up seems to be a common trick for avoiding any foot wear-and-tear during events. Emmy is, of course, drumming up a little promotion for her Showtime series Shameless. (CBS owns Showtime.) Shameless will return for its sixth season in 2016.

It’s good to be Rihanna. RiRi recently did a full 12 hour party shift in NYC in these bold Pierre Hardy Majorelle Suede Tassel Sandals. The evening began at a Travis Scott concert, and then Rihanna literally partied ’til the break of dawn at 1OAK with Lewis Hamilton. Rihanna’s exact sandals are currently available for $845 at Moda Operandi.

Note how she expertly matched her lipstick color to the exact shade of her pink suede shoes. Rihanna is also carrying one of her many new Dior Diorama Bags. (She’s the face of Dior’s Diorama campaign.) Tasseled sandals are unexpectedly popular this week; we just saw actress Regina King in a pair of Christian Louboutin Otrot Suede Fringe Sandals mere days ago.

Heidi Klum was recently spotted running around NYC earlier this week in a pair of black leather Givenchy Studded Gladiator Sandals. If you think those studs are somewhat reminiscent of Valentino’s signature rockstuds, you’re probably not alone. Then again, Valentino didn’t actually invent and patent the stud. In any case, Heidi’s exact sandals are currently on sale for $736 at FWRD. That’s almost 60% off their original price of $1,750.

While there were a wealth of desirable designer wedges on offer from our favorite retailers around this time last year, celebs have largely neglected the wedge heel this summer. Heidi is notorious for her quirky Euro fashion sensibilities, however, and she’s always happy to go against the grain.

We’ll return on Monday, August 31st, but in the meantime, we’ll be running a few of our favorites from the past few months, complete with updates, to get you ready for fall. Below, we’ve added all the pricing information available on Gianvito Rossi’s swoon-worthy Fall 2015 collection!]

For Fall 2015, be prepared to see Mary Janes, colorblock suede boots and seductive lace and fringe over-the-knee boots, all done in a way that’s unmistakably Gianvito Rossi. While Rossi’s designs may not have a logo or a distinctly colored bottom, Rossi has made a name for himself in elegant, ladylike designs that have an ultra modern appeal. What’s exciting about this upcoming fall collection, however, is Rossi seems to have upped the ante on desirable designs.

One of the most notable designs from the collection is Rossi’s bunny heel. When Footwear News asked the designer to comment on the newest silhouette the designer states that this newest design was, he said, “My version of something very playful, but still sleek and of course super seductive without being vulgar.” And indeed it is. I was lucky enough to see this bunny ear sandal (with a bow tie ankle starp, of course) in person, and it’s simply sexy, chic and adorable, all wrapped into one.

This collection is as glamorous as it is modern, and it will, without a doubt, make a hop, skip and a jump into your heart. Check out the entire Fall 2015 collection below.

Swedish actress and It Girl Alicia Vikander popped by the Good Morning America studios in NYC last week to do a little promo for her latest film, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. She’s wearing a crisp white pair of Jimmy Choo Lance Sandals. You can currently find a metallic silver version of Alicia’s sandals for $850 at Net-A-Porter.

You’ll notice Alicia is also carrying a dark, two-tone Louis Vuitton Twist Bag. No surprise there; Alicia was one of the many celeb faces featured in Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2015 ad campaign. You can find a similar version of the Twist for $3,550 at Louis Vuitton. The Man from U.N.C.L.E rolled into US theaters last Friday, August 14th, and should be playing in a multiplex near you.

Here’s Kerry Washington, engaging with paps in Brentwood over the weekend before heading into Jennifer Klein’s Day of Indulgence celebrity gifting party. She’s wearing a navy blue pair of Manolo Blahnik BB Pumps and carrying a gorgeous Louis Vuitton x Christian Louboutin Shopper Tote. You can find Kerry’s exact shoes for $595 at Barneys.

If you’re wondering if “Jennifer Klein’s Day of Indulgence” is exactly what it sounds like, the answer is YES. Jennifer Klein is a prominent producer who has a rolodex of celeb gal pals, and every summer they gather together at Jennifer’s home for a day full of pampering and copious freebies. This is the 17th annual “Day of Indulgence.”

Model and actress Emily Ratajkowski recently appeared on Good Morning America to promote her latest film with Zac Efron, We Are Your Friends. Here she is heading into the GMA studios in a pair of gold Sophia Webster Lacey Metallic Sandals. You can currently find Emily’s exact sandals for $695 at Saks.

We just saw Cara Delevingne wearing a black leather version of this popular Sophia Webster style at a press event for her latest film Paper Towns a few weeks ago. This brand does great things with metallics; its Sophia Webster Layla Pom Pom Metallic Leather Sandal was recently named our Shoe of the Week.

Taylor Schilling was recently designated one of the celebrity “captains” at the W Hotel’s All Aboard! Party at Grand Banks, which celebrated the upcoming launch of the chain’s new Amsterdam location. She wore an incredibly festive ensemble for the occasion that included a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti Curved Metal Sandals. You can currently find Taylor’s gilded sandals for $1,695 at Saks.

Taylor also carried a petite black and gold Stella McCartney Falabella Tiny Minaudiere which paired perfectly with her GZ sandals. You can purchase a diamond-embossed silver version of her bag for $2,560 at Barneys. For those not local to NYC, you might be interested to know that Grand Banks is a boat bar anchored off the west side of Manhattan.

Here’s actress Mena Suvari (who is now a brunette), arriving at the LA premiere of She’s Funny That Way. She looks particularly gorgeous in a brocaded floral dress that she’s paired with a multicolor pair of Bionda Castana Dekota Pumps. You can find a black leather and mesh version of these pumps for $820 at farfetch.com.

We first saw Taylor Swift wearing this popular Bionda Castana style almost a year ago to the day. Mena does not appear in She’s Funny That Way, but you’ll soon be able to see her playing a demon hunter (who might also be a little possessed) in an upcoming We TV series called South of Hell that should make its premiere some time in 2015.
